🔍 What is Focus Friend?
Focus Friend is more than just a 15 minute timer — it’s a focus platform designed to support people with ADHD and anyone who struggles to stay focused in today’s fast-paced world.
ADHD has become a common condition in the 21st century. Many people suffer silently from their inability to concentrate, feeling overwhelmed, bored, or distracted. But we believe that overcoming ADHD shouldn’t require complex tools or expensive treatments. Sometimes, all it takes is meaning.
While a traditional 15-minute timer might feel dull or pointless — especially for someone with ADHD — Focus Friend turns that countdown into something meaningful.
Here’s how it works:
After completing a 15-minute focus session, you earn a ticket. This ticket isn’t just a reward — it’s a key that allows someone else to begin their own focus session. Suddenly, your effort has purpose. You didn’t just beat procrastination — you helped someone else start. Whether you’re using someone else’s ticket or sharing your own, you’re not only helping yourself focus — you’re part of something bigger.
💡 Focus becomes meaningful. Meaning fuels flow. Flow helps you focus.
FAQ
1. What is the Ticket Pool?
The Ticket Pool contains tickets that other users generated by completing a 15-minute timer, but chose to donate instead of keeping them. These tickets refresh regularly, and you can claim one to start your own 15 minute timer session.
We highly encourage you to not only share your ticket with friends, but also to donate your extra tickets to the pool — so you can help more people become a Focus Friend.
🔁 It’s a way to give back — one 15-minute session at a time.
2. Can I use my own ticket to start another 15 minute timer?
Unfortunately, no. In the Focus Friend community, the goal is to help each other stay accountable and focused. You can’t use your own ticket — you must use someone else’s ticket or claim one from the ticket pool to set a timer for 15 minutes.
🤝 You give a ticket, someone else starts focusing. They give a ticket, you keep going.
3. What is Demo Mode?
Demo Mode is a quick way to test out how Focus Friend works. Instead of running a full 15 minute timer, you only need 15 seconds to simulate the process and generate a test ticket.
🧪 No pressure, just a preview.
4. What if I run out of tickets?
No worries! Just head to the ticket pool, where you can claim a new ticket donated by another user. Once you have it, you’re ready to start your next 15 minute timer session.
🎫 No ticket, no problem — the pool has your back.
5. Why only 15-minute timers?
People with ADHD often find it extremely difficult to stay focused for long periods of time. That’s why 15-minute timer is the perfect starting point — not too long, not too short. Completing even one 15-minute timer is a big win, and that’s what we celebrate here.
✅ Small wins build momentum. One 15-minute focus session at a time.
